Voting by Mail

Mail-in voting in Texas is limited to voters who are:

Request a ballot from your county's Early Voting Clerk. Applications must be received (not postmarked) by February 20, 2026 for the primary.

Postmark & delivery note: Your mail ballot has to arrive by the normal deadline, and new USPS postmark rules make last‑minute mailing riskier, so either mail at least 7 days earlier or hand‑deliver your ballot to your county’s early voting clerk if you’re close to Election Day.

When ballots are mailed: After your mail-in ballot is accepted, your county will begin mailing ballots several weeks before Election Day and generally within about a week of processing your application; check your county election office for exact timing.
